The assessment of the system of geographical distribution (A/59/724) had presented three scenarios relating to possible changes in geographical distribution: varying the weight of the membership, population and contribution factors; expanding the population and the base figure to include staff not currently considered to have geographic status; and making changes in the application of the system of weighted ranges.
