The objective is, as specified in Article 4.1, " to facilitate the rapid marking and clearance, removal and destruction of explosive remnants of war, risk education and the provision of information to the party in control of the territory and to civilian populations in that territory " .
ويتمثل الهدف من ذلك، على نحو ما تنص عليه المادة 4-1، في " تيسير وضع علامات لتحديد المتفجرات وإزالتها أو التخلص منها أو تدميرها بسرعة، والتوعية بمخاطرها وتوفير المعلومات ذات الصلة للطرف الذي يسيطر على الإقليم وللسكان المدنيين فيه " .
