The Government refers to the decision of the Third Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (SPLOS/5, para. 20), which states:

2. The Council of Foundation of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining accepted this mandate at its seventh meeting on 28 September 2001 and tasked the Director to conclude an agreement with the President of the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Mine Ban Convention.
2- وقبل مجلس إدارة مركز جنيف الدولي لإزالة الألغام للأغراض الإنسانية هذه الولاية خلال اجتماعه السابع المعقود في 28 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001 وطلب إلى المدير إبرام اتفاق مع رئيس الاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف في اتفاقية حظر الألغام.

6. Strongly support the need for all American countries to convert the western hemisphere into an anti-personnel-landmine-free zone, an aim stated in the Declaration of the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Ottawa Convention, with a view to making this goal an example to the whole world and an inspiration for other regions of the world affected by mines.
6- ندعم بقوة الحاجة إلى أن تحوّل جميع البلدان الأمريكية النصف الجنوبي الغربي للكرة الأرضية إلى منطقة خالية من الألغام المضادة للأفراد، وهو هدف تضمّنه إعلان الاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف في اتفاقية أتاوا، بغية جعله مثلاً يحتذي به العالم بأسره ومصدر إلهام للمناطق الأخرى في العالم المتضررة بالألغام.

10. 16. On 10 September 2013, the Fourth Meeting of States Parties was opened by Steffen Kongstad, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, President of the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Convention.
16 - افتتح الاجتماع الرابع للدول الأعضاء يوم 10 أيلول/سبتمبر 2013، على يد ستيفن غونستاد سفير النرويج وممثلها الدائم لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة ومنظمات دولية أخرى توجد مقارها في جنيف، رئيس الاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية.

26. At its last plenary meeting, on 14 September 2012, the Meeting decided to mandate the President of the Third Meeting of States Parties to further negotiate, in consultation with the States Parties, an agreement on the hosting of an Implementation Support Unit, as well as its establishment and a funding model, and present these proposals to States Parties for approval.
26- وقرر الاجتماع في جلسته العامة الأخيرة المنعقدة في 14 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، تكليف رئيس الاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف بأن يواصل التفاوض، بالتشاور مع الدول الأطراف، بشأن اتفاق لاستضافة وحدة دعم التنفيذ، وكذا إنشائها وبشأن نموذج للتمويل، وأن يقدم هذه المقترحات إلى الدول الأطراف للموافقة عليها.

At its first plenary meeting, on 11 September 2012, the Meeting elected by acclamation Steffen Kongstad, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, as President of the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Convention.
وانتخب الاجتماع بالتزكية في جلسته العامة الأولى، المعقودة في 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، ستيفن كونغستاد، السفير والممثل الدائم للنرويج لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية الأخرى في جنيف، رئيساً للاجتماع الثالث للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية.

5. At the same plenary meeting, States Parties decided to designate [name, title and State Party] as the President of the Third Meeting of States Parties and also decided to hold the Third Meeting of States Parties from _ to _, 2012 in [city, country].
