In the meantime, Uganda has agreed to the deployment on the Rwanda-Uganda border of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) - as part and parcel of confidence-building measures - and stands ready to give additional support as and when requested.

3. At the 60th meeting, on 31 March 1994, the representative of Cuba introduced a draft resolution entitled " Financing of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda " (A/C.5/48/L.54), which was submitted on the basis of informal consultations.

The RPF Chairman, Mr. Alexis Kanuyarengwe, admitted in his letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations dated 16 April 1993 concerning the establishment of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) that his organization depended on Uganda for everything.
واعترف رئيس الجبهة الوطنية الرواندية، السيد الكسيس كانويارنغوي نفسه بأن، منظمته تعتمد على أوغندا في كل شيء، وذلك في رسالته التي بعث بها الى اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة في ١٦ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٣ بشأن تكوين بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا ورواندا.

Noting that the integration of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda within the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda is purely administrative in nature and that it will in no way affect the mandate of the Observer Mission as set out in Security Council resolution 846 (1993),

Since the issuance of the main report on the financing of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) (A/49/375), a number of the assumptions contained in the annexes to that report have changed as a result of a further review of operational requirements, and this has necessitated a revision of the cost estimates.
١ - منذ صدور التقرير الرئيسي عن تمويل بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا ورواندا وبعثة اﻷمم المتحدة لتقديم المساعدة الى رواندا (A/49/375)، تغير عدد من الافتراضات التي وردت في مرافق ذاك التقرير وذلك نتيجة القيام باستعراض آخر لاحتياجات العمليات، وهذا ما تطلب تنقيح التكاليف التقديرية.

The present report is submitted in pursuance of paragraph 2 of Security Council resolution 891 (1993) of 20 December 1993, by which the Council decided to extend the mandate of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) for a period of six months from 22 December 1993 to 21 June 1994.
١ - هذا التقرير مقدم عملا بالفقرة ٢ من قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٨٩١ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ٢٠ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، الذي قرر المجلس بموجبه تمديد ولاية بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا ورواندا لفترة ستة أشهر من ٢٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣ لغاية ٢١ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤.

1. The present report is submitted in pursuance of paragraphs 2 and 3 of Security Council resolution 928 (1994) of 20 June 1994, in which the Council extended the mandate of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) for a final period of three months until 21 September 1994 and requested the Secretary-General to report to the Council on the termination of the operation before the completion of its mandate.
