As a direct result of the bombing of the United Nations offices in Algiers on 11 December 2007, in which 17 people were killed and some 40 injured, and in which other United Nations agencies and UNHCR suffered serious damage to premises and property, the IGO ordered an inquiry which took place from 19 to 23 April 2008.
