In February 2013, the Secretary-General's Policy Committee decided to extend membership of the United Nations system task force on transnational organized crime and drug trafficking as threats to security and stability, to the World Health Organization and the Office for Disarmament Affairs of the Secretariat.

(b) Participation of the Finance Officer in the meeting of the United Nations system task force on Accounting Standards, held in Geneva from 30 September to 2 October 2013, at which lead agency focus working groups gave presentations, including on the following topics:
(ب) مشاركة موظف الشؤون المالية في اجتماع فرقة عمل منظومة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالمعايير المحاسبية المعقود في جنيف في الفترة من 30 أيلول/سبتمبر إلى 2 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2013 والذي قدمت خلاله وكالات رائدة عروضا في إطار أفرقة التركيز العاملة شملت مواضيع، من بينها المواضيع التالية:

(r) Promote a comprehensive and balanced framework that centres on prevention, capacity-building, shared responsibility, regional and interregional cooperation, as well as the protection of human rights and the rule of law, under the framework of the United Nations system task force on transnational organized crime;

Requests the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, as the Co-Chair of the United Nations system task force on transnational organized crime and drug trafficking as threats to security and stability, to keep Member States informed on the progress of the work of the task force;
3 - يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة، بصفته أحد الرئيسين المتشاركين في رئاسة فرقة عمل منظومة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالجريمة المنظمة العابرة للحدود الوطنية والاتجار بالمخدرات باعتبارهما خطرين يهددان الأمن والاستقرار، أن يبقي الدول الأعضاء على علم بما تحرزه فرقة العمل من تقدم في عملها؛

Several delegations noted the role of UNODC as co-chair of the United Nations system task force on transnational organized crime and drug trafficking as threats to security and stability and underlined the importance of inter-agency cooperation.
9- ونوّهت عدّة وفود بدور المكتب كرئيس مشارك لفرقة عمل منظومة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية والاتجار بالمخدِّرات باعتبارهما خطرين على الأمن والاستقرار، وشدّدت على أهمية التعاون بين الوكالات.
