The Working Group, noting that it has the only United Nations mechanism addressing indigenous issues that included standard-setting as part of its mandate, expressed appreciation to Mr. Yokota and Ms. Motoc and the indigenous organizations that had collaborated in the preparation of the working papers on indigenous peoples' heritage and on the principle of free, prior and informed consent.
