1. States shall cooperate with the Mechanism in the investigation and prosecution of persons covered by Article 1 of this Statute.

The State of enforcement shall be bound by the duration of the sentence, subject to article 30 of this Statute.

Legal remedies are set out in section 10 of this Statute.

Concurrent jurisdiction 1. The Mechanism and national courts shall have concurrent jurisdiction to prosecute persons covered by article 1 of this Statute.

Holding that " The purpose of this Statute was to enable survivors an honourable existence ... " the court denied an employer the right to deduct from the severance pay a debt of the deceased employee (National Labour Court Balk Chemicals Inc. v. Sarah Feler, Taba 57/3-124, 28 June 1998).
وإذ أكدت المحكمة أن " الغرض من هذا التشريع هو تمكين الورثة من الوجود الكريم ... " ، حرمت رب عمل من الحق في أن يخصم من بدل إنهاء الخدمة ديناً على الموظف المتوفى (محكمة العمل الوطنية، شركة بالك للكيماويات ضد سارة فيلر، Taba 57/3-124، 28 حزيران/يونيه 1998).

At any stage of the procedure involving a person covered by article 1, paragraph 2, of this Statute, the Mechanism may formally request national courts to defer to its competence in accordance with the present Statute and the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Mechanism.
ويجوز للآلية، في أي مرحلة من مراحل الدعوى التي تشمل شخصا تسري عليه أحكام الفقرة 2 من المادة 1 من هذا النظام الأساسي، أن تطلب رسميا إلى المحاكم الوطنية التنازل لها عن اختصاصها وفقا لهذا النظام الأساسي وللقواعد الإجرائية وقواعد الإثبات للآلية.

The Union particularly welcomes the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court to try the most serious crimes and violations of humanitarian law of concern to the international community and calls for an early ratification of this Statute.
ويرحب الاتحاد على وجه الخصوص باعتماد النظام اﻷساسي للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية في روما التي تُحاكم أخطر الجرائم والانتهاكات للقانون اﻹنساني التي تهم المجتمع الدولي، ويدعو إلى التصديق على هذا النظام اﻷساسي في وقت مبكر.
