This report was prepared after the signing of a Peacebuilding Fund project entitled " Support for the national consultations on the setting up/establishment of mechanisms of transitional justice in Burundi " by the Government and the United Nations in June 2008 and the subsequent adoption of a timetable for six months of national consultations, scheduled to begin in March 2009.
