2. In paragraphs 1 to 5 of his report, the Secretary-General provides information relating to the question of the establishment of unified conference servicing at Vienna.
٢ - وفي الفقرات من ١ الى ٥ من هذا التقرير، يقدم اﻷمين العام معلومات تتعلق بمسألة إنشاء خدمة موحدة للمؤتمرات في فيينا.

With the establishment of unified conference services under United Nations management on that date, translation and related documentation services were transferred from UNIDO in accordance with General Assembly resolution 49/237 of 31 March 1995.
ومع إنشاء خدمات موحدة للمؤتمرات تحت إدارة الأمم المتحدة في ذلك التاريخ، نقلت خدمات الترجمة التحريرية وخدمات الوثائق المتصلة بها من اليونيدو وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة 49/237 المؤرخ 31 آذار/مارس 1995.

23. The view was expressed that the steps being taken were appropriate, and that the establishment of unified conference services would be more rational and less costly.
٣٢ - وأعرب عن رأي مفاده أن الخطوات التي يجري اتخاذها مناسبة، وأن إنشاء خدمات موحدة للمؤتمرات سيكون أكثر عقلانية وأقل تكلفة.

(b) Greater use of unified conference services in the other United Nations conference facilities was achieved through the balanced sharing of staff resources with other United Nations conference centres.

وثمة إنجاز آخر متوقع ألا وهو تنفيذ ممارسة الخدمة الموحدة للمؤتمرات في مرافق المؤتمرات الأخرى التابعة للأمم المتحدة متى تسنى ذلك وكان فعالا من حيث التكلفة دون أن يمس بنوعية الخدمات المقدمة.

The agreement in principle concluded between the United Nations and UNIDO for the establishment of unified conference services at Vienna was welcome.
ويعتبر أن الاتفاق من حيث المبدأ المبرم بين اﻷمم المتحدة ومنظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية بشأن إنشاء خدمة مؤتمرات موحدة في فيينا يعتبر في هذا الصدد أمرا جديرا بالترحيب.

Recalling also its resolutions 48/218 C and 48/222 A of 23 December 1993, in which it stressed the need for the establishment of unified conference services at Vienna as soon as possible,

124. The General Assembly had approved the establishment of unified conference services at Vienna, for which one D-1 post and one P-4 post were requested to replace one P-5 post and one P-2 post.
٤٢١ - وخلص الى القول بأن الجمعية العامة كانت قد وافقت على إنشاء خدمات موحدة للمؤتمرات في فيينا، وطلبت أن توفر لها وظيفة من رتبة مد - ١ ووظيفة من رتبة ف - ٤ لتحل محل وظيفة من رتبة ف - ٥ ووظيفة من رتبة ف - ٢.

37. In view of the need for the establishment of unified conference services at Vienna as soon as possible, expressed by the General Assembly in its resolution 48/218, section I.C, of 23 December 1993, the Committee urged the Assembly to complete its consideration of the item by the end of 1994.
٣٧ - وبالنظر إلى الحاجة إلى إنشاء خدمات موحدة للمؤتمرات في فيينا في أقرب وقت ممكن، والتي أعربت عنها الجمعية العامة في الجزء اﻷول - جيــــم مـــن قرارها ٤٨/٢١٨ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، حثت اللجنة والجمعية العامة على إتمام نظرها في هذا البند بنهاية عام ١٩٩٤.

26. Bearing in mind General Assembly resolution 44/201 A of 21 December 1989, the Committee decided to recommend to the Assembly that it should request the Secretary-General to pursue his efforts with a view to reaching agreement with UNIDO concerning the establishment of unified conference services administered by the United Nations.
٢٦ - قررت اللجنة، آخذة في الاعتبار قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٤/٢٠١ ألف المؤرخ في ٢٦ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٨٩، أن توصي الجمعية العامة بأن تطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل جهوده في سبيل التوصل الى اتفاق مع اليونيدو بشأن إنشاء خدمات مؤتمرات موحدة تديرها اﻷمم المتحدة.
