In this regard, my Special Representative for Central Africa and Head of UNOCA has held consultations with regional leaders, the African Union and United Nations presences in the LRA-affected countries on the way forward with regard to addressing the LRA threat.
وفي هذا الصدد، أجرى ممثلي الخاص لوسط أفريقيا ورئيس مكتب الأمم المتحدة لمنطقة وسط أفريقيا مشاورات مع قادة المنطقة والاتحاد الأفريقي وكيانات الأمم المتحدة المتواجدة في البلدان المتضررة من جيش الرب للمقاومة بشأن سبل تحقيق التقدم فيما يتعلق بالتصدي للخطر الذي يشكله جيش الرب للمقاومة.

In this connection, the technical working group and the steering committee established by ECOWAS, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Commission of the Gulf of Guinea met in Libreville on 22 and 23 October to discuss, with the participation of UNOCA and UNOWA, preparations for the organization of a regional summit of the States of the Gulf of Guinea.

12. Address by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Central Africa and Head of UNOCA

Thus, the preparations for the Summit, as well as the Summit itself and associated and follow-up action, will require the support of UNOCA.
ومن ثم، فإن الأعمال التحضيرية لعقد ذلك المؤتمر، وكذلك المؤتمر نفسه وما يتصل به من أعمال وإجراءات للمتابعة، ستحتاج إلى دعم من مكتب الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي في وسط أفريقيا.

191. The Committee suggested that a preparatory committee composed of members of the bureau and representatives of UNOCA and the host country should be established.
191 - واقترحت اللجنة إنشاء لجنة تحضيرية ستتشكل من أعضاء المكتب، وكذلك من ممثلين عن مكتب الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي في وسط أفريقيا والبلد المضيف.

I would also like to thank my Special Representative, Mr. Abou Moussa, and the staff of UNOCA for the energetic and professional manner in which they have launched the operations of the Office to contribute to greater peace and security in Central Africa.

117. The representative of UNOCA made a presentation in which he highlighted the concern of the international community regarding the existence of armed gangs and the consequences of their activities in the Central African subregion.
