The Special Rapporteur held dialogues with various stakeholders, observed the situation of women migrant workers in border areas and interviewed women migrant workers who had returned to Indonesia after either escaping or being deported following instances of severe abuse at the hands of employers and employment agencies.

In resolution 38/7 on violence against women migrant workers, the Commission requested the Secretary-General to see to the development of concrete indicators to determine the situation of women migrant workers in sending and receiving countries as a basis for future action.
وفي القرار ٣٨/٧ المتعلق بالعنف الموجه ضد العاملات المهاجرات، طلبت اللجنة إلى اﻷمين العام أن يعمل على وضع مؤشرات محددة، لتحديد حالة العاملات المهاجرات في البلدان الموفدة والبلدان المستقبلة، تكون أساسا للعمل في المستقبل.
