In this connection, we are in favour of starting substantive consultations with the United Nations as provided for by article 5 of the cease-fire agreement and paragraph 6 of your report of 6 August 1993 (S/26250).

I have the honour to refer to paragraph 6 of your report of 4 March 1994 (S/1994/262) on your mission of good offices in Cyprus, in which reference is made to " Turkey's acceptance ... of the package of confidence-building measures " .

There is no reference in paragraph 6 of your report of 27 May to your previous report on the mission of good offices dated 28 May 2004 (S/2004/437).

Another point to which we attach significance is the Greek Cypriot agreement as confirmed by paragraph 24 of your report of 1 July 1993 that both sides would commit themselves to take no action of any kind that would in any way prevent, or adversely affect, the free movement of people or goods through Nicosia International Airport to and from both sides.
وثمة نقطة أخرى تتسم باﻷهمية لدينا، وهي موافقة الجانب القبرص اليوناني، كما هو مؤكد في الفقرة ٢٤ من تقريركم المؤرخ ١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٣، على أن يلتزم الجانبان بعدم اتخاذ أي إجراء من أي نوع يكون من شأنه منع أو التأثير السلبي على حرية حركة اﻷشخاص أو البضائع عن طريق مطار نيقوسيا الدولي إلى كلا الجانبين ومنهما.

In this connection, we attach great significance to the arrangements provided for in the package and confirmed in paragraph 23 of your report of 1 July 1993, that the Turkish Cypriot airline, as an airline registered in Turkey, will use Nicosia International Airport under the formula contained in the confidence-building measures package for the unhindered overseas travel of, and trade by the Turkish Cypriots.

This is also evident from paragraphs 33 and 50 of your report of 1 July 1993 (S/26026), paragraphs 14 and 19 of your report of 14 September 1993 (S/26438) and paragraph 104 of your report of 22 November 1993 (S/26777).
