5 - تعتبر أحكام جميع معاهدات وترتيبات تسليم المجرمين المبرمة فيما بين الدول الأطراف معدلة فيما بين هذه الدول فيما يتعلق بالجرائم المحددة في المادة 2، ما دامت تلك الأحكام تتعارض مع هذه الاتفاقية.

1. States Parties shall afford one another the greatest measure of assistance in connection with criminal investigations or criminal or extradition proceedings in respect of the offences set forth in article 2, including assistance in obtaining evidence in their possession necessary for the proceedings.
١ - تتبادل الدول اﻷطراف أكبر قدر من المساعدة القانونية فيما يتعلق بأي تحقيقات أو إجراءات جنائية أو إجراءات تسليم تتصل بالجرائم المبينة في المادة ٢، بما في ذلك المساعدة المتصلة بالحصول على ما يوجد لديها من أدلة لازمة لﻹجراءات.

2. If a State Party which makes extradition conditional on the existence of a treaty receives a request for extradition from another State Party with which it has no extradition treaty, the requested State Party may at its option consider this Convention as a legal basis for extradition in respect of the offences set forth in article 1.
٢ - إذا تلقت دولة طرف، تجعل التسليم مشروطا بوجود معاهدة، طلب تسليم من دولة طرف أخرى لا تربطها بها معاهدة لتسليم المجرمين، جاز للدولة الطرف المتلقية للطلب أن تختار اعتبار هذه الاتفاقية سندا قانونيا للتسليم فيما يتعلق بالجرائم المذكورة في المادة ١.
