It is worth noting that the Republic of Yemen has acceded to the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography by Act No. 20 of 2004. The ratification Act was published in issue No. 16 of the Official Gazette in 2004. Yemen submitted its initial report on the implementation of the Optional Protocol to the Committee on the Rights of the Child in January 2008.
