Welcomes the adoption by consensus of the “Guidelines on conventional arms control/limitation and disarmament, with particular emphasis on consolidation of peace in the context of General Assembly resolution 51/45 N” Official Records of the General Assembly, Fifty-fourth Session, Supplement No. 42 (A/54/42), annex III.

ونلاحظ مع الارتياح النتائج التي أسفر عنها المؤتمر المعني بتوطيد السلام: نزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الإدماج في أفغانستان، الذي عقد في طوكيو يوم 22 شباط/فبراير 2003 دعماً للمبادرة الأفغانية من خلال عملية نزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الإدماج.
