Taking note with appreciation of the work carried out by the Ad Hoc Working Group (AHWG) on improving the procedures for communication of information as well as the quality and the format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties (COP),
إذ يحيط علماً مع التقدير بالأعمال التي اضطلع بها الفريق العامل المخصص المعني بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات ونوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف،

Following decision 8/COP.8 on improving the procedures for the communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties (COP), the secretariat identified and elaborated reporting principles for those entities that are requested to report regularly to the COP, or otherwise to provide information, on support to the implementation of the Convention.
عقب اعتماد المقرَّر 8/م أ-8 المتعلق بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات ونوعية وشكل التقارير المقدَّمة إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، عمدت الأمانة إلى تحديد وإعداد مبادئ بشأن الإبلاغ خاصة بالكيانات المطلوب منها تقديم تقارير منتظمة، أو غير ذلك من صور توفير المعلومات، إلى مؤتمر الأطراف بشأن دعم تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

The present document was prepared by the secretariat in accordance with decision 13/COP.9 on improving the procedures for communication of information as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties, and represents an updated version of document ICCD/CRIC(9)/13.
أعدت الأمانة هذه الوثيقة عملا بالمقرر 13/م أ-9 المتعلق بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات ونوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، وهي نسخة محدَّثة للوثيقة ICCD/CRIC(9)/13.

The Ad Hoc Working Group (AHWG) on improving the procedures for communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the COP, may provide guidelines on how stakeholders could be better informed and made more knowledgeable.
ثم إن الفريق العامل المخصص المعني بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات، فضلاً عن نوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، يمكن أن يقدم إلى أصحاب المصلحة مبادئ توجيهية بخصوص السبل التي تمكنها من الحصول على معلومات أفضل وتجعلها على دراية أكبر.

The Ad Hoc Working Group on improving the procedures for communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties, advises on new reporting guidelines; these are adopted and financial support is increased for developing country Parties' reporting;
ويقوم الفريق العامل المخصص المعني بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات، والنهوض بنوعية وشكل التقارير التي تُقدَّم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف بتقديم المشورة بشأن المبادئ التوجيهية الجديدة في مجال تقديم التقارير؛ وتُعتمد هذه المبادئ ويزيد الدعم المالي للبلدان النامية الأطراف؛

The Ad-Hoc Working Group (AHWG) on improving the procedures for communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports submitted to the COP, established by decision 8/COP.7, recognized these weaknesses, but provided very little input and guidance on how to devise a future reporting structure that avoids these limitations.
11- وقد اعترف الفريق العامل المخصَّص المعني بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات ونوعية التقارير المقدمة إلى مؤتمر الأطراف وشكلها، المنشأ بموجب المقرَّر 8/م أ-7، بمواطن الضعف هذه، لكنَّ ما قدمه من إسهاماتٍ وتوجيهٍ بشأن كيفية استحداث هيكل مستقبلي لعملية الإبلاغ يتلافى نواحي القصور هذه كان ضئيلاً جداً.

4. The present document was prepared by the secretariat in accordance with decision 13/COP.9 on improving the procedures for communication of information as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the Conference of the Parties, and decision 17/COP.9 on advice on how best to measure progress on strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.
4- وأعدّت الأمانة هذه الوثيقة عملاً بالمقرر 13/م أ-9 المتعلق بتحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات ونوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، والمقرر 17/م أ-9 المتعلق بالمشورة المقدمة بشأن أفضل الطرق لقياس التقدم المُحرز في تحقيق أهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و2 و3.

12. Following decision 8/COP.8 on improving the procedures for communication of information, as well as the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the COP, reporting principles were established for entities requested to report regularly to the COP or otherwise to provide information on support provided to the implementation of the Convention.
12- تبعاً لاعتماد المقرر 8/م أ-8 المتعلق بتحسين إجراءات تقديم المعلومات، وكذلك نوعية وشكل التقارير التي تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، جرى وضع مبادئ للكيانات المطالبَة بتقديم تقارير منتظمة إلى مؤتمر الأطراف أو غيرها من المعلومات عن الدعم المقدم من أجل تنفيذ الاتفاقية.
