Consequently, paragraph 5 requests the Secretary-General to make recommendations, based on the outcome of these consultations and taking into account the views of Member States, on necessary changes to the content and structure of the instrument in order to strengthen and broaden participation.
وبالتالي تطلب الفقرة ٥ إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم توصيات، استنادا إلى نتيجة هذه المشاورات، ومع أخذ آراء الدول اﻷعضاء في الاعتبار، بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون وهيكل الصك بغية تعزيــز وتوسيع نطاق المشاركة فيه.

The request addressed to the Secretary-General in draft resolution A/C.1/51/L.47 to seek the views of Member States and to make recommendations on necessary changes to the content and the structure of the standardized reporting system of military expenditures in order to strengthen and broaden participation is of particular importance to this end.
من هنا تأتي اﻷهمية الخاصة للطلب الموجه إلى اﻷمين العام في مشروع القرار A/C.1/51/L.47، أن يلتمس آراء الدول اﻷعضاء بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون وهيكل نظام اﻹبلاغ الموحد عن النفقات العسكرية وأن يقدم توصيات بهذا الشأن بغية تعزيز المشاركة وتوسيع نطاقها.

In this context, let me recall that in paragraph 4 of last year’s resolution 51/38 the Secretary-General was requested to seek the views of Member States and make recommendations on necessary changes to the content and the structure of the standardized reporting system in order to strengthen and broaden participation.
وفي هذا الصدد أود أن أشير إلى أن الفقرة ٤ من قرار العام الماضي ٥١/٣٨ تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يلتمس آراء الدول اﻷعضاء بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون وهيكل نظام اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹبلاغ الموحد عن النفقات العسكرية وأن يقدم توصيات بهذا الشأن بغية تعزيز وتوسيع نطاق المشاركة فيه.

(d) To continue consultations with relevant international bodies, with a view to ascertaining requirements for adjusting the present instrument in order to encourage wider participation, and to make recommendations, based on the outcome of those consultations and taking into account the views of Member States, on necessary changes to the content and structure of the standardized reporting system;
(د) مواصلة المشاورات مع الهيئات الدولية المعنية بهدف التيقن من مقتضيات تعديل الأداة القائمة، من أجل تشجيع المشاركة فيها على نطاق أوسع وتقديم توصيات في ضوء نتائج تلك المشاورات وتأخذ في الحسبان آراء الدول الأعضاء بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون نظام الإبلاغ الموحد وهيكله؛

(c) To continue consultations with relevant international bodies, with a view to ascertaining requirements for adjusting the present instrument, with a view to encouraging wider participation, and to make recommendations, based on the outcome of those consultations and taking into account the views of Member States, on necessary changes to the content and structure of the standardized reporting system;
(ج) مواصلة المشاورات مع الهيئات الدولية المعنية من أجل بحث مقتضيات تعديل الأداة القائمة، بهدف تشجيع المشاركة فيها على نطاق أوسع، وتقديم توصيات في ضوء نتائج تلك المشاورات تأخذ في الحسبان آراء الدول الأعضاء بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون نظام الإبلاغ الموحد وهيكله؛

٨ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم، استنادا إلى نتيجة تلك المشاورات وأخذا في الاعتبار آراء الدول اﻷعضاء، توصيات بشأن التغييرات اللازم إدخالها على مضمون وهيكل نظام اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹبلاغ الموحد عن النفقات العسكرية، بغية تعزيز وتوسيع نطاق المشاركة فيه، وأن يقدم تقريرا عن هذا الموضوع إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين؛
