Can we continue to proceed at the present pace and under the same arrangements we had up to now and reasonably expect to complete our work before the deadline? It is the view of my delegation that the pace has to be significantly accelerated and appropriate arrangements have to be made by the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on NTB in order to clear the remaining major obstacles.
هل يمكننا المضي قُدماً بالخطى الحالية وفي ظل نفس الترتيبات التي كانت متاحة لدينا حتى اﻵن وأن نتوقع منطقيا أن نستكمل عملنا قبل حلول الموعد النهائي؟ لا بد في رأي وفد بلدي من تعجيل الخطى كثيرا واتخاذ ترتيبات ملائمة من جانب رئيس اللجنة المخصصة لحظر التجارب النووية ﻹزالة العقبات الرئيسية المتبقية.

As for my delegation, it would be doing everything possible within its means, while reposing its confidence in, and extending cooperation to, the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on NTB, to enable the ongoing negotiations to reach their logical conclusion by the end of June.
أما فيما يتعلق بوفد بلدي، فإنه سيفعل كل ما بوسعه واضعاً في الوقت ذاته ثقته في شخص رئيس اللجنة المخصصة لحظر التجارب النووية ومقدماً له تعاونه حتى تصل المفاوضات الجارية إلى نهايتها المنطقية بحلول نهاية حزيران/يونيه.
