I have the honour to forward herewith the report of the Expert Group Meeting on Strategic Approaches to Freshwater Management,* held at Harare, Zimbabwe, from 27 to 30 January 1998, for the use as a document of the Commission on Sustainable Development and its Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Working Group on Strategic Approaches to Freshwater Management.
يشرفني أن أقدم طيه تقرير اجتماع فريق الخبراء المعني بالنهج الاستراتيجية ﻹدارة المياه العذبة*، المعقود في هراري، زمبابوي، من ٢٧ الى ٣٠ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨، للاستفادة منه كوثيقة من وثائق لجنة التنمية المستدامة، وفريقها العامل بين الدورات المخصص للنهج الاستراتيجية ﻹدارة المياه العذبة.

3. The United Nations Secretariat has reviewed the credentials of the above body, and recommends that it be invited to attend the session of the Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Working Group on Strategic Approaches to Freshwater Management as an intergovernmental organization, with the status of observer.

1. The Expert Group Meeting on Strategic Approaches to Freshwater Management (Harare, 27-30 January 1998) was hosted by the Government of Zimbabwe and organized by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat.
١ - استضافت حكومة زمبابوي اجتماع فريق الخبراء المعني بالنهج الاستراتيجية ﻹدارة المياه العذبة )هراري، ٢٧ - ٣٠ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨(، الذي نظمته إدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية التابعة لﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة.

1. A request has been received from the secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance, especially as Waterfowl Habitat (Ramsar, Iran, 1971) to attend the session of the Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Working Group on Strategic Approaches to Freshwater Management as an intergovernmental organization.
١ - ورد طلب من أمانة اتفاقية اﻷراضي الرطبة ذات اﻷهمية الدولية وخاصة بوصفها موئلا للطيور المائية )رامسار، إيران، ١٩٧١( لحضور دورة الفريق العامل المخصص المعقود بين الدورات المعني بالنهج الاستراتيجية ﻹدارة المياه العذبة بوصفها منظمة حكومية دولية.
