The representative of the European Commission (EC) promised the full engagement of his delegation in the meeting's discussions and informed delegates that the EC's Competition Directorate General had submitted for the meeting's consideration two papers, one on the interaction between competition policy and industrial policy and the other on Technical Assistance for capacity building.
4- ووعد ممثل المفوضية الأوروبية بمشاركة كاملة من وفده في مناقشات الاجتماع وأبلغ المندوبين أن المديرية العامة لشؤون المنافسة في المفوضية الأوروبية عرضت على نظر الاجتماع ورقتين، إحداهما بشأن التفاعل بين سياسة المنافسة والسياسة الصناعية والأخرى بشأن المساعدة التقنية من أجل بناء القدرات.

She recalled that in its decision INC-7/8, the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee had requested the Secretariat to prepare draft guidance on Technical Assistance for consideration and possible adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its first meeting.
