His delegation supported the Advisory Committee's recommendation (A/51/7/Add.1, para. 38) that the Secretary-General should update his estimates in the context of the first performance report on the budget for the biennium 1996-1997 and that the General Assembly should consider and approve revised appropriations for the current biennium at that time.
