6. No comments or suggestions concerning the possibility of revising the Manual or concerning the Principles on the Effective Prevention and investigation of extralegal, arbitrary and summary executions, adopted by the Economic and Social Council by its resolution 1989/65, were received by OHCHR.

Some of the most relevant are: the Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extra-legal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions; the Body of Principles for the Protection of All Persons under Any Form of Detention or Imprisonment; the Code of Conduct for Law Enforcement Officials; and the Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials.

To that end, the Rules should provide detailed guidance on the purpose, modalities and overall parameters of effective investigation and documentation of torture and other ill-treatment, as reflected in the Principles on Effective Investigation and the Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extra-legal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions.

The Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extra-legal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions provide that investigations in instances of extrajudicial executions are to be " thorough, prompt and impartial " and conducted by independent bodies.

He reminds Governments, inter alia, of their obligations, reflected in the Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extralegal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions, to conduct exhaustive and impartial investigations into all suspected cases of extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions.
وهو يذكر الحكومات بأمور منها التزاماتها المنصوص عليها في مبادئ المنع والتقصي الفعالين لعمليات الإعدام خارج نطاق القانون والإعدام التعسفي والإعدام بإجراءات موجزة بإجراء تحقيقات شاملة وغير متحيزة في جميع الحالات التي يشتبه فيها في وقوع إعدام خارج نطاق القانون أو إعدام بإجراءات موجزة أو إعدام تعسفي.
