The Committee recalls its observation in the context of its review of the proposed budget for peacekeeping operations that reporting on the evaluation of the impact of efficiency measures on mandate and service delivery remained deficient (A/66/718, para. 86).

To that end, the report of OIOS on the evaluation of the impact of the recent restructuring of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (A/58/746) was extremely useful, particularly its observation that the linkage between the budgetary benchmarks and the Security Council reporting process should be strengthened.
ولتحقيق ذلك، يصبح من المفيد جداً تقرير مكتب المراقبة الداخلية عن تقييم تأثير إعادة الهيكلة الأخيرة لإدارة عمليات حفظ السلام (A/58/746)، ولا سيما ملاحظته بضرورة تعزيز الصلة بين العلامات المرجعية للميزانية وعملية تقارير مجلس الأمن.

Pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 48/218 B of 29 July 1994, 54/244 of 23 December 1999 and 56/241 of 24 December 2001, the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit for the attention of the Assembly the attached report, conveyed to him by the Under-Secretary-General for Internal Oversight Services, on the evaluation of the impact of the recent restructuring of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
