The Republic of Korea also noted that the model treaty adopted provisions on the definitions of " cultural property " , " procedures " and " expenses " from the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property adopted on 14 November 1970, making it of great relevance to the 1970 UNESCO Convention.

Among the main measures contained in the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property, the presentation highlighted the major efforts for creating inventories, education and certification and the call for each country to set up a specialized unit trained in this type of trafficking.
