In accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 2013/235, the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit the report of the Friends of the Chair group on the measurement of international trade and economic globalization.

1. With reference to Statistical Commission decision 44/106, the Friends of the Chair group on the measurement of international trade and economic globalization was established to prepare a concept paper:
1 - بالإشارة إلى مقرر اللجنة الإحصائية 44/106، أنشئ فريق أصدقاء الرئيس المعني بقياس التجارة الدولية والعولمة الاقتصادية لإعداد ورقة مفاهيمية:

1. In accordance with decision 45/106, adopted by the Statistical Commission at its forty-fifty session, the present report is submitted by the Friends of the Chair group on the measurement of international trade and economic globalization and contains proposals for a conceptual framework, programme of work and coordination mechanism in that regard.
1 - وفقا للمقرر 45/106 الذي اتخذته اللجنة الإحصائية في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين، يُقدم هذا التقرير من فريق أصدقاء الرئيس المعني بقياس التجارة الدولية والعولمة الاقتصادية، وهو يتضمن مقترحات لوضع إطار مفاهيمي وبرنامج عمل وآلية للتنسيق في ذلك الصدد.

2. Also in its decision 44/106, the Commission agreed to create the Friends of the Chair group on the measurement of international trade and economic globalization and tasked it with preparing a concept paper on the scope and content of the framework and on the appropriate mechanism for coordinating work in this area.
2 - ووافقت اللجنة أيضاً في مقررها 44/106 على إنشاء فريق أصدقاء الرئيس المعني بقياس التجارة الدولية والعولمة الاقتصادية وأناطت به مهمة إعداد ورقة مفاهيمية تتعلق بنطاق الإطار ومضمونه، وبالآلية الملائمة لتنسيق العمل في هذا المجال.

At its 3rd meeting, the Commission had before it a note by the Secretary-General transmitting the report of the Friends of the Chair group on the measurement of international trade and economic globalization (E/CN.3/2014/7) and heard an introductory statement by the representative of Canada.
وكان معروضا على اللجنة في جلستها الثالثة مذكرة من الأمين العام يحيل بها تقرير فريق أصدقاء الرئيس المعني بقياس التجارة الدولية والعولمة الاقتصادية (E/CN.3/2014/7) واستمعت إلى بيان استهلالي أدلى به ممثل كندا.
