2. In paragraph 6 of its resolution 52/235 of 26 June 1998, entitled “Development Account”, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit proposals on the use of the funds available under a new section 34 of the programme budget for the biennium 1998–1999.
٢ - وكانت الجمعية العامة قد طلبت إلى اﻷمين العام في الفقرة ٦ من قرارها ٥٢/٢٣٥ المؤرخ ٢٦ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨ والمعنون " حساب التنمية " ، أن يقدم مقترحات بشأن استخدام اﻷموال المتاحة في باب جديد من الميزانية البرنامجية لفترة السنتين ١٩٩٨-١٩٩٩ هو الباب ٣٤.

Another delegation suggested that the Executive Director provide an interim and final report on the use of the funds for preparations for the Special Session, to be presented as part of her annual reports in 2001 and 2002, respectively, and further requested that the draft resolution contained in paragraph 28 of document E/ICEF/2000/AB/L.2 be amended to reflect this.
