The Accra Accord adopted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development at its twelfth session highlighted the importance of efforts to promote full and productive employment and decent work at the national level, including through use of the International Labour Organization (ILO) toolkit for mainstreaming employment and decent work.

2. Decides to convene the ninth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development at Midrand, Gauteng Province, South Africa, from 27 April to 11 May 1996, to be preceded by a one-day meeting of senior officials at the same place on 26 April 1996;
٢ - تقرر أن تعقد الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية في ميدراند، بمقاطعة غوتنغ بجنوب أفريقيا، في الفترة من ٢٧ نيسان/أبريل الى ١١ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦، على أن يسبقها اجتماع لمدة يوم واحد لكبار المسؤولين في نفس المكان في ٢٦ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٦؛

4. The Cartagena Commitment, approved by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development at its eighth session, requires the Trade and Development Board to conduct, midway between Conferences, a review and evaluation of the work programme of the intergovernmental machinery, including its own; of
