10. In its resolution 1998/44, the Council noted the target of reducing by one half, by 2015, the proportion of people living in extreme poverty, and reaffirmed the urgent need for the timely and full implementation of the commitments agreed upon at the major conferences.
١٠ - وأحاط المجلس علماً، في قراره E/1998/44، بالهدف المتمثل في تخفيض نسبة اﻷشخاص الذين يعيشون في فقر مدقع بمقدار النصف بحلول عام ٢٠١٥، وأكد مرة أخرى على الحاجة الملحة إلى تنفيذ جميع الالتزامات المتفق عليها في المؤتمرات الرئيسية لﻷمم المتحدة تنفيذاً كاملا وفي مواعيدها.
