In its operative part, the draft resolution deals with the following salient issues. First, the draft resolution notes with satisfaction the active participation of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in the activities of the United Nations in realizing the purposes and principles of the Charter.
أما فقرات المنطوق، فقد شملت عدة مواضيع، أهمها: أولا، التعبير عن الارتياح للمشاركة النشطة لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي في أعمال الأمم المتحدة لتحقيق المقاصد والأهداف المجسدة في ميثاق الأمم المتحدة.

I have the honour to transmit herewith a statement adopted by the States members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in New York on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory.

٢ - تنوه مع الارتياح بالمشاركة النشطة من جانب منظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامي في أعمال اﻷمم المتحدة لتحقيق المقاصد والمبادئ المجسﱠدة في ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة؛

3. Notes with satisfaction the active participation of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in the work of the United Nations towards the realization of the purposes and principles embodied in the Charter of the United Nations;
٣ - تنوه مع الارتياح بالمشاركة النشطة من جانب منظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامي في أعمال اﻷمم المتحدة لتحقيق المقاصد والمباديء الواردة في ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة؛

Also commends the efforts of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the host for the Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Tehran at which three draft resolutions on the promotion of human rights were adopted;'

Last but not least, I would also like to express my gratitude to Ambassador Francesco Paolo Fulci, Permanent Representative of Italy and representative of the Presidency of the European Union, for his collaboration and for trying to bridge gaps to reach a common understanding with the European Union, and the Ambassador of Guinea for being most cooperative as Chairman of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in New York.
وأخيرا وليس آخرا، أود أن أعرب عن امتناني للسفير فرانسيسكو باولو فولتشي، الممثل الدائم ﻹيطاليا وممثل رئاسة الاتحاد اﻷوروبي، على تعاونه وعلى محاولته لسد الفجوات من أجل التوصل إلى تفاهم مشترك مع الاتحاد اﻷوروبي، ولسفير غينيا على إبداء أقصى قدر من التعاون بوصفه رئيس منظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامي في نيويورك.

This position of principle was reaffirmed by the heads of State or Government of Non-Aligned Countries in Durban, South Africa, less than three months ago, and by the heads of State or Government of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Tehran, Iran, in December 1997.
وهذا الموقف المبدئي أكده مجددا رؤساء دول أو حكومات بلدان حركة عدم الانحياز في ديربان، بجنوب أفريقيا، قبل أقل من ثلاثة أشهر، ورؤساء دول أو حكومات منظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامي في طهران، بإيران، في كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧.

The Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement had also issued a statement on the issue and the Islamic Group of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in New York had done the same.
كما أصدر مكتب التنسيق التابع لحركة عدم الانحياز بيانا بشأن الموضوع وقامت المجموعة الإسلامية التابعة لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي في نيويورك بفعل الشيء نفسه.

Bahrain was among the first States to ratify the Arab Charter on Human Rights, which was adopted by the League of Arab States in 2001. It also supported the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam adopted by the Organization of the Islamic Conference in 1990.
كانت البحرين من أوائل الدول التي صدقت على الميثاق العربي لحقوق الإنسان الذي أقرته جامعة الدول العربية عام 2001 علاوةً على مساندتها لإعلان القاهرة حول حقوق الإنسان في الإسلام الذي أقرته منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي عام 1990.
