The Advisory Committee recalls that it joined with the Board of Auditors in its recommendation that a more proactive approach needed to be taken in the coordination of ICT efforts in the United Nations and its funds and programmes so as to ensure that the approach taken was cost-effective and met the requirements of organizations and Member States (see A/59/400, para. 42).
