In order to realize the goal of a people-centred information society in Asia and the Pacific, the expansion of access and further deepening of ICT usage will be promoted, especially among the least developed countries and other countries with special needs.
وبغية تحقيق هدف إنشاء مجتمع معلومات محوره الناس في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ، سيجري تعزيز توسيع نطاق الوصول إلى تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات وزيادة تعميق استخدامها، وخصوصاً بين أقل البلدان نمواً والبلدان الأخرى ذات الاحتياجات الخاصة.

وسيروج البرنامج الفرعي النُهج المتكاملة التي تنطلق من الناس كمحور لها، وذلك بما يقدمه إلى الدول الأعضاء من تحليل اجتماعي - اقتصادي حول أوجه التقدم السريع في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات والاتجاهات الناشئة والأشكال الجديدة للتواصل الشبكي الاجتماعي والفوارق الرقمية الجديدة وخصوصا بين البلدان السريعة النمو وأقل البلدان نموا والبلدان الأخرى ذات الاحتياجات الخاصة.
