The Committee welcomes the establishment in 2002 of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights in accordance with the Paris Principles relating to the status of National Institutions (General Assembly resolution 48/13 of 20 December 1993, annex).

In this connection, I regret that the National Human Rights Commission has not yet been established.
