In order to facilitate the thematic discussion of the topic, the Working Group was invited to address the topic in two parts, the first relating to public education, in particular the engagement of children and young people, and the second relating to public education through mass media and the Internet.
45- ومن أجل تيسير المناقشة المواضيعية للمسألة، دُعي الفريق العامل إلى معالجتها على جزأين؛ الأول يتعلق بتوعية الجمهور ولا سيما إشراك الأطفال والشباب، والثاني يتعلق بتوعية الجمهور من خلال وسائل الإعلام والإنترنت.

At its meeting held in Vienna from 27 to 29 August 2012, the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption adopted the topics proposed in the workplan for 2013, namely: integrity in the judiciary, judicial administration and prosecution services; and public education, in particular the engagement of children and young people and the role of mass media and the Internet.
56- اعتمد الفريق العامل الحكومي الدولي المفتوح العضوية المعني بمنع الفساد الموضوعين المقترحين في خطة العمل لعام 2013 خلال الاجتماع الذي عقده في فيينا في الفترة من 27 إلى 29 آب/أغسطس 2012، وهما: نزاهة الجهاز القضائي وإدارة القضاء وجهاز النيابة العامة؛ وتوعية الجمهور، ولا سيما إشراك الأطفال والشباب، ودور وسائط الإعلام والإنترنت في هذا الصدد.

The consideration of the sub-item on public education, in particular the engagement of children and young people and the role of mass media and the Internet, will be introduced by a panel discussion, including a presentation on the background paper produced by the Secretariat on that topic based on input from States parties.
سوف تُنظَّم حلقةُ نقاشٍ تمهيداً للنظر في البند الفرعي المتعلق بتوعية الجمهور، ولا سيما إشراك الأطفال والشباب في أنشطة مكافحة الفساد ودور وسائط الإعلام والإنترنت في هذا الصدد، وهي ستشمل عرضاً إيضاحيا يتناول ورقة المعلومات الأساسية التي تعدُّها الأمانة بشأن هذا الموضوع استناداً إلى الإسهامات الواردة من الدول الأطراف.

46. The secretariat introduced the substantive discussion on public education, in particular the engagement of children and young people, noting that while only a few States had reported conducting specific anti-corruption courses at the primary and secondary school level, many more had addressed anti-corruption content in courses on topics such as ethics, law and civic education.
46- وقدَّمت الأمانة المناقشة المواضيعية بشأن توعية الجمهور، ولا سيما إشراك الأطفال والشباب، وأشارت إلى أنَّ عدداً قليلاً من الدول فحسب أفاد بتنظيم دورات دراسية محدَّدة بشأن مكافحة الفساد في مرحلتي التعليم الابتدائي والثانوي، إلاَّ أنَّ عدداً أكبر من هذا بكثير يعالج محتوى مشكلة الفساد في دورات دراسية عن مواضيع من قبيل الأخلاقيات أو القانون أو التعليم المدني.
