These must be no less effective than the global rules and standards referred to in article 210 of the Convention.
١٠٧ - وقد لاحظ اجتماع ١٩٩٤ الاستشاري لﻷطراف المتعاقدة أن الدول اﻷطراف في اتفاقية قانون البحار ملزمة قانونا بإصدار القوانين واﻷنظمة واتخاذ التدابير اﻷخرى اللازمة لمنع وتخفيض ومكافحة التلوث الناجم عن اﻹغراق؛ وينبغي ألا تكون هذه القوانين واﻷنظمة والتدابير أقل فعالية من اﻷنظمة والمعايير العالمية المشار اليها في المادة ٢١٠ من الاتفاقية.

85. Having considered the paper, the 17th Consultative Meeting, held from 3 to 7 October 1994, decided to circulate it to the Parties to the Convention on the Law of the Sea which are not Parties to the London Convention, drawing their attention particularly to the important legal effects of the former's entry into force on the latter, and inviting them to consider becoming Parties thereto.
