It should be recalled that General Assembly resolution 57/63 explicitly calls on States parties to the relevant instruments on weapons of mass destruction to consult and cooperate among themselves in resolving their concerns with regard to cases of non-compliance.
ومن المهم التذكير بأن القرار 57/63 ينص صراحة على أن الدول الأطراف في الصكوك ذات الصلة المتعلقة بأسلحة الدمار الشامل يجب أن تتشاور وتتعاون فيما بينها لحل مشاكلها فيما يتعلق بحالات عدم الامتثال.

As is well known, this subject was included in the agenda of the First Committee of the General Assembly 10 years ago in order to reaffirm the idea that multilateralism was the core principle to be applied during negotiations in this area and of promoting cooperation and consultation among States parties to the relevant instruments in the event that they failed to meet their obligations or threatened to resort to unilateral action.
