1. The Chairman said that Mr. Phakiso Mochochoko (Lesotho) and Mr. Henrikus Verweij (Netherlands) had been nominated to the posts of Vice-Chairmen and Mr. Rytis Paulauskas (Lithuania) to the post of Rapporteur.
١ - الرئيس: قال إن السيد فاكيسو موشوشوكو )ليسوتو( والسيد هنريكوس فيرويج )هولندا( قد رشحا لمنصبي نائبي الرئيس وأن السيد ريتيس بولوسكاس )ليتوانيا( قد رشح لمنصب المقرر.

If he heard no objection, he would take it that the Committee wished to elect Mr. Phakiso Mochochoko (Lesotho) and Mr. Henrikus Verweij (Netherlands) as Vice-Chairmen and Mr. Rytis Paulauskas (Lithuania) as Rapporteur.
وإذا لم يسمع اعتراضا فسيعتبر أن اللجنة تود انتخاب السيد فاكيسو موشوشوكو )ليسوتو( والسيد هنريكوس فيرويج )هولندا( نائبين للرئيس والسيد ريتيس بولوسكاس )ليتوانيا( مقررا.

4. Mr. Paulauskas (Lithuania), reviewing what his country had done to ensure the implementation of international human rights standards at the national level, said that during the past five years it had become a party to five of the six core United Nations human rights treaties and that it expected to deposit shortly the instrument of ratification of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
٤ - السيد بولوسكاس )ليتوانيا(: استعرض بداية ما قام به بلده من أجل كفالة تنفيذ المعايير الدولية لحقوق اﻹنسان على الصعيد الوطني، وقال إن بلده انضم خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية لخمس معاهدات من أصل ست معاهدات معتمدة في إطار اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان حقوق اﻹنسان وأصبح طرفا فيها، ومن المتوقع أن يودع عما قريب صك التصديق على الاتفاقية الدولية المتعلقة بالقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري.
