The United Kingdom does not think that a lack of objections can in fact cure the nullity of an impermissible reservation, and we note that the commentary suggests that in any event such a lack of objection would not prevent the assessment of the permissibility of the reservation by a treaty monitoring body or the International Court of Justice.
