The issue of environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants was considered by the Open-ended Working Group at its first meeting, held in Belgrade from 15 to 18 November 2011.
4 - إن مسألة الملوثات الصيدلانية المقاومة للتحلل في البيئة كانت موضع بحث من جانب الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية أثناء اجتماعه الأول، الذي عُقد في بلغراد من 15 إلى 18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2011.

The proponents completed a questionnaire on the nomination of emerging policy issues, setting out why environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants should be considered an emerging policy issue.
6 - وقد أكمل مؤيدو المقترح استبياناً بشأن تعيين القضايا السياساتية الناشئة، وإبراز السبب في أنه ينبغي للملوثات الصيدلانية المقاومة للتحلل في البيئة أن تُعتَبر مسألة سياساتية ناشئة.

Little is known about the possible negative effects and impacts of environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants in humans and the environment by diffuse and systematic exposure for long periods of time, especially during the vulnerable periods of development.

Anticipated deliverables include greater visibility and policy engagement; greater coordination, consistency and synergies between different initiatives around the globe, engaging actors from different sectors; and improved capacity for assessing and managing risks from environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants, in particular in developing countries.

The secretariat posted the environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants dossier, as received from the proponents, on the Strategic Approach website on 7 April 2014 and invited comments from stakeholders by 11 July 2014.
9 - نشرت الأمانة ملف الملوثات الصيدلانية المقاومة للتحلل في البيئة، على النحو الذي قُدِّم به من مؤيدي المقترح، على الموقع الشبكي للنهج الاستراتيجي يوم 7 نيسان/أبريل 2014، ودعت أصحاب المصلحة إلى تقديم التعليقات في موعد غايته 11 تموز/يوليه 2014.

The issue of environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants is proposed for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group, taking into account the current work on existing emerging policy issues and the relevance to the overall orientation and guidance towards achieving the 2020 goal of the Strategic Approach.
15 - هناك اقتراح بطرح الملوثات الصيدلانية المقاومة للتحلل في البيئة على بساط البحث من جانب الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية، مع الوضع في الحسبان الأعمال الجارية بشأن المسائل السياساتية الناشئة الحالية، وأهميتها بالنسبة للتوجه الشامل، والتوجيهات الرامية إلى تحقيق غاية 2020 للنهج الاستراتيجي.

In accordance with the procedure for considering new emerging policy issues set out in the annex to resolution II/4, one issue has been nominated for consideration by the Conference at its fourth session, namely environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants.
31- وفقاً لإجراء دراسة السياسات العامة الجديدة الناشئة الواردة في مرفق القرار 2/4، تم تعيين مسألة واحدة لينظر فيها المؤتمر في دورته الرابعة، وهي على وجه التحديد الملوثات الصيدلانية الثابتة في البيئة.

With respect to environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants, the Working Group considered that the proposal did not meet the criteria for the issue to be considered as an emerging policy issue.
52 - وفيما يتعلق بالملوثات الصيدلانية الثابتة بيئياً، رأى الفريق العامل أن المقترح لا يستوفي المعايير التي تستوجب نظر القضية على أنها قضية سياسات ناشئة.

She said that the Open-ended Working Group at its first session had decided that environmentally persistent pharmaceutical pollutants did not meet the criteria for consideration as an emerging policy issue but merited further consideration by the Conference and had asked the proponent to develop the proposal further following its third session.
