The Conference welcomed the establishment of the Islamic Group in UNESCO and urged this group to convene regular meetings at the level of ambassadors and experts with the aim of coordinating the positions of the Member States on issues of common interest to the Islamic world, particularly on the International Convention on Cultural Diversity, which is expected to be completed in 2005.

5.
