The creation of a Strategic Planning Unit in the Office of the Under-Secretary-General is proposed to assist the Under-Secretary-General in coordinating department-wide activities in key cross-cutting issues, with a staffing establishment of five posts as follows:

In this regard, the Committee stressed the need to view the allocation of posts as dynamic, rather than static; posts need to be reviewed periodically to ensure that their functions are consistent with current objectives.

ويقابَل هذه الزيادة إلغاء وظيفة لموظف فني وطني و 11 وظيفة من فئة الخدمات العامة الوطنية بعد أن تبيّن من استعراض لملاك الموظفين انتفاء الحاجة إلى هذه الوظائف مع انتقال البعثة إلى مرحلة التصفية.
