The attention of the Commission is drawn to General Assembly resolution 58/269, in which the Secretary-General was requested to prepare, for submission to the Assembly at its fifty-ninth session, a strategic framework for the biennium 2006-2007 to replace the current medium-term plan for the period 2002-2005.
