Following a briefing by Deputy President Jacob Zuma, on behalf of the facilitation, and extensive discussion with President Pierre Buyoya of Burundi and Dr. Jean Minani, Speaker of the Transitional National Assembly of Burundi on the one hand and the leader of the delegation of CNDD-FDD (Nkurunziza), Mr. Rajabu Hussein, the Summit held an extensive exchange of views on the matter and made the following decisions:
