El Salvador is encouraged, if it has learned that any other States Parties are conducting an investigation or judicial proceeding in respect of the same conduct, to consult with the other State or States with a view to coordinating actions (art. 42, para. 5).

5. If a State Party exercising its jurisdiction under paragraph 1 or 2 of this article has been notified, or has otherwise learned, that one or more other States Parties are conducting an investigation, prosecution or judicial proceeding in respect of the same conduct, the competent authorities of those States Parties shall, as appropriate, consult one another with a view to coordinating their actions.
5- اذا أُبلغت الدولة الطرف التي تمارس ولايتها القضائية بمقتضى الفقرة 1 أو 2 من هذه المادة، أو علمت بطريقة أخرى، أن دولة واحدة أو أكثر من الدول الأطراف الأخرى تجري تحقيقا أو تقوم بملاحقة قضائية أو تتخذ اجراء قضائيا بشأن السلوك ذاته، يتعين على السلطات المختصة في هذه الدول الأطراف أن تتشاور فيما بينها، حسب الاقتضاء، بهدف تنسيق ما تتخذه من تدابير.
