The General Assembly, in paragraph 3 of its resolution 49/216 C of 23 December 1994, requested the Secretary-General to submit to it, through the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, a report containing proposals for the improvement of the procurement activities in the Secretariat, including, inter alia:
