In paragraph 8 of its resolution 61/274 of 29 June 2007, the General Assembly requested ICSC to advise it on the proposal of the Secretary-General contained in his report entitled " Comprehensive proposal on appropriate incentives to retain staff of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia " .

As indicated above, the General Assembly, in its resolution 63/269, approved the proposal of the Secretary-General contained in his report on ICT disaster recovery and business continuity for United Nations (A/63/743), to establish a new secondary data centre for United Nations Headquarters in New York to replace the existing secondary data centre in the DC2 Building.
