The financial period for the purpose of both the proposed utilization of resources and the incurring of and accounting for expenses in respect of the support and regular budget shall be aligned and shall consist of two consecutive calendar years, the first of which shall be an even year.

Regulation 6.2: To provide for continuity in the planning, programming and implementation of UNFPA assistance to projects, the financial period for the purpose of the proposed utilization of resources and of the entering into commitments in respect of programme activities, as defined in 2.2 P(iii), shall be the duration of each project as specified in the project document.

The Committee also urges the Secretary-General to continue to pursue efforts to improve the clarity and comprehensiveness of the budget document and to provide a sufficient level of detail to allow the Assembly to gain a better understanding of the activities of the Office, its staffing and the services it provides, as well as the proposed utilization of resources.
وتحث اللجنة الأمين العام أيضا على مواصلة بذل جهوده الرامية إلى تحسين وضوح وثيقة الميزانية وشموليتها وأن يقدم قدرا كافيا من التفاصيل التي من شأنها أن تمكّن الجمعية من اكتساب فهم أفضل لأنشطة المكتب، وملاكه الوظيفي والخدمات التي يقدمها، فضلا عن الاستخدام المقترح للموارد.
