To enhance the protection of young persons against exploitation for commercial sex in Singapore and in other countries, the following amendments, effective from 1 February 2008, were made to the Penal Code :
6-4 لتعزيز حماية الشباب من الاستغلال لأغراض الاتجار بالجنس في سنغافورة وغيرها من البلدان، تم إدخال التعديلات التالية اعتباراً من 1 شباط/فبراير 2008 على قانون العقوبات:

It notes that a programme of action to reach out to, guide and train girls and young girls in difficulty had been established and that the Brigade for the protection of young persons had intercepted 1,350 child victims of trafficking, 85 per cent of whom were girls, with the latter benefiting from social integration measures.
كما أحاطت علما بوضع برنامج عمل لمد يد العون للبنات وصغار الفتيات اللاتي يواجهن ظروفا صعبة، وإرشادهن وتدريبهن، ولاحظت أن لواء حماية الشباب قد أنقذ 350 1 طفلا من ضحايا الاتجار 85 في المائة منهم من الفتيات، وقد استفادت الفتيات من تدابير لدمجهن اجتماعيا.

(a) The amendment to the protection of young persons at Work Law and the Safety and Health at Work (Protection of Youth) Regulations, in 2012;

330. The preventive examinations prescribed by the Act on the protection of young persons at Work, the Hazardous Substances Ordinance and the Accident Prevention Regulations as well as the examinations which a doctor with a qualification in occupational health regards as necessary on the basis of the Safety and Health at Work Act are meant to protect the population against work—related diseases.

Until the child reaches the age of 18, the employer is bound by the protection of young persons at Work Places Regulations, 1996.

This article of the Constitution thus complies with the International Covenant provision on the protection of young persons from exploitation and working in places detrimental to their mental or physical health or detrimental to their moral upbringing.
وتبعاً لذلك تتسق هذه المادة من الدستور مع أحكام العهد الدولي المتعلقة بحماية الصغار من الاستغلال والعمل في مواقع تضر بصحتهم العقلية أو البدنية أو تنال من تنشئتهم الأخلاقية.
