The present review of the organizational framework of the public information function of the Secretariat was mandated by the General Assembly in its resolution 62/236.
وقد أصدرت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 62/236، تكليفا بإجراء هذا الاستعراض للإطار التنظيمي لوظيفة الإعلام للأمانة العامة.

2. The objective of the review was to assess, as systematically and objectively as possible, the organizational framework of the public information function of the Secretariat, including the resources dedicated to it.
