Applicants and their sponsoring States and prospective applicants and their sponsoring States shall use their best efforts to ensure, before making an application pursuant to these Regulations, that areas in respect of which applications are made do not overlap one another.
ويبذل مقدمو الطلبات والدول المزكية لهم ومقدمو الطلبات المحتملون والدول المزكية لهم قصاراهم لكفالة عدم تداخل المناطق التي قدمت بشأنها الطلبات، وذلك قبل تقديم الطلب عملا بهذا النظام.

1. Data and information of commercial value submitted or transferred to the Authority pursuant to these Regulations or a contract issued under these Regulations, and identified by the Contractor as such, shall be considered confidential unless it is data and information which:
١ - تعتبر سرية أي بيانات ومعلومات ذات قيمة تجارية تقدم أو تنقل إلى السلطة عملا بهذا النظام أو بعقد صادر بموجب هذا النظام ويحددها المتعاقد على أنها سرية، ما لم تكن بيانات ومعلومات:

The Legal and Technical Commission shall protect the confidentiality of confidential data and information submitted to it pursuant to these Regulations or a contract issued under these Regulations.
' ' 3 - تحمي اللجنة القانونية والتقنية سرية البيانات والمعلومات السرية المقدمة إليها عملا بهذا النظام الأساسي أو عقد مبرم بموجب هذا النظام.

2. A person who is authorized pursuant to these Regulations to have access to confidential data and information shall not disclose such data and information except as permitted under the Convention and these Regulations.
2 - لا يجوز للشخص المأذون له، بموجب هذا النظام الأساسي، بالاطلاع على البيانات والمعلومات السرية أن يكشف عنها إلا بما تسمح به الاتفاقية وهذا النظام.

Any such amendments shall be without prejudice to the rights conferred on any contractor with the Authority under the provisions of a contract entered into pursuant to these Regulations in force at the time of any such amendment.

Data and information submitted or transferred to the Authority or to any person participating in any activity or programme of the Authority pursuant to these Regulations or a contract issued under these Regulations, and designated by the contractor, in consultation with the Secretary-General, as being of a confidential nature, shall be considered confidential unless it is data and information which:
1 - تعتبر سرية أي بيانات ومعلومات ذات قيمة تجارية تقدم أو تنقل إلى السلطة أو أي شخص يشارك في أي نشاط أو برنامج للسلطة عملا بهذا النظام أو بعقد صادر بموجب هذا النظام ويحددها المتعاقد، بالتشاور مع الأمين العام، على أنها سرية، ما لم تكن بيانات ومعلومات:

In the light of the review, the Council may revise any of the provisions of these Regulations, without prejudice to the rights conferred on any contractor with the Authority under the provisions of a contract entered into pursuant to these Regulations in force at the time of any such revision.
وعلى ضوء هذا الاستعراض، يمكن للمجلس أن ينقح أياً من أحكام هذا النظام، دون المساس بالحقوق الممنوحة لأي متعاقد مع السلطة بموجب أحكام عقد أُبرم عملاً بهذا النظام الساري وقت إجراء أي من هذه التنقيحات.
